Cultural involvement as part of the company profile

BRAIN sees its activities as being part of creative societal processes. The company consciously links up with art and culture, not only to strengthen its own creative power but also to contribute its own aims and visions to public discourse. BRAIN’s cultural activities constitute a targeted form of involvement in a dialogue that broadens horizons. This is also the rationale behind BRAIN’s recurring participation in the Kunst privat! art initiative. Other individual events such as debates and activities around the 100th Bauhaus anniversary 2019 are also part of the company's cultural agenda. BRAIN thus provides a permanent platform for a productive exchange between science and art.

100 years of Bauhaus and the Bergstrasse

BRAIN is taking the opportunity of the 2019 Bauhaus anniversary to showcase its architectural heritage. In cooperation with the city of Zwingenberg and the Savings Bank Cultural Foundation of Hesse-Thuringia, the company will be the hub of numerous cultural events come autumn. These will be accompanied by a light projection on the building under the direction of lighting artist Helga Griffiths.

Cultural initiative “Kunst privat!”

For many years, BRAIN has been participating in the annual Kunst privat! cultural initiative organized by the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Regional Development. Works by selected artists related to the company are exhibited on the company's premises and made accessible to the public in guided tours. BRAIN thus provides a permanent platform for a productive exchange between science and art.

Art@BRAIN

The access building erected on the BRAIN campus in 2008 serves as a link between the Bauhaus-influenced core dating back to the 1930s and the newer areas housed in a former warehouse from the 1970s. The building, which is made of glass and exposed concrete, also provides space for exhibitions and the exchange of ideas. Artists from the region in particular are offered an area here to present their works and inspire employees and visitors alike.
