Dr. Georg Kellinghusen was born in 1947 in Maasleben (Schleswig-Holstein) and served three years as a Federal Army officer. After graduating in business management at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich, he stayed on to take his doctorate at its faculty of financial auditing. He started his career 1978 at Bertelsmann AG, Gütersloh, where first he was controller and Management Board assistant until 1989, before becoming commercial divisional director. Later, Dr. Kellinghusen held executive positions including CEO and/or CFO at Varta, O.tel.o, Escada, Zapf Creation, Alno and Keiper Recaro Group as well as at MP-Beteiligungs-GmbH. In preparation for and implementation of the IPO in February 2016, Dr. Kellinghusen was most recently Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of BRAIN Biotech AG (until 2017). In 2020, he completed his part-time studies in Philosophy/Politics/Economics (PPW) at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. Today, he actively contributes his many years of business experience as a Supervisory Board Member, Advisory Board Member and Mediator for family-owned companies.
Dr. Kellinghusen has been a member of the BRAIN Biotech Supervisory Board since March 9, 2017. He has been its chairman since March 7, 2019 and is elected until the end of the AGM in FY 2022/23.
