Before joining the BRAIN Group, Ludger Roedder worked in various management positions at the U.S.-based BASF Corporation from 2005 to 2018. In addition to several M&A projects, he headed the regional Animal Nutrition North America business unit, while in his last position as Global Business Director he held overall responsibility for the Food Performance Ingredients business unit. In this role, Roedder devoted himself, inter alia, to the development and expansion of the enzyme business and was also based in Germany for extended periods of time.
Ludger Roedder has extensive experience in product development, go-to-market activities, market penetration and in the B2B arena. He had already worked for several globally positioned manufacturing companies in these fields as part of international assignments before he joined BASF.
For several years, Ludger Roedder was a member of the board of the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) and a member of the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN).
Among other things, Ludger Roedder studied Global Strategic Management (certificate) at Harvard Business School in Cambridge, MA (U.S.A.) and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International Business from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ (U.S.A.). Currently he has taken a leave of absence from his teaching duties as an adjunct professor for Marketing at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Ludger Roedder was appointed Chief Business Officer (CBO) of BRAIN AG with effect from January 01, 2019.
