Robbert Michael Hoekstra

Robbert Michael Hoekstra has more than twenty years of international experience as a finance professional working in Germany, Netherlands and the UK. Prior to his employment at BRAIN, Robbert worked 12 years at Ernst & Young in the International Audit Practice as a Dutch “Register Accountant” (Wirtschaftsprüfer) and in the Transaction Advisory Services department working on financial due diligence engagements. Following Ernst & Young, Robbert held various finance positions in the corporate world at group as well as at holding level.

Robbert studied Business Administration with a focus on Accounting & Controlling at Erasmus University, Netherlands. In addition, he completed his post-master education at the Erasmus University Rotterdam to become a Dutch “Register Accountant” (Wirtschaftsprüfer). Robbert remains registered in the Netherlands as an “Accountant in Business”.

In March 2021, Robbert joined the former BRAIN AG initially as Head of Accounting and then has been promoted to Head of Group Finance. In addition, Robbert is one of the Managing Directors at BRAIN-Group company WeissBioTech GmbH.
